RULES;

GENERAL;

this site is ranged from upper intermediate to advanced. if you are having any second doubts about whether or not you fit into that field then this site probably is not the one for you. we will be able to tell if you fit there and if you don't we will not hesitate to tell you that.

do not steal anything from this site without permission from both staff members. we and the people who worked on graphics for us spent way too much time and effort to have our site thrown all across the web. and if you do decide to steal it then you will face the wrath of two very passionate girls. and no one wants that.

respect is the most important thing on this site. if we see you disrespecting anyone out of character you will be warned. any kind of racism or prejudices used out of character will result in an automatic ban, no questions asked. we are not about that and do not want our site known for it.

we, zane and lynnlee, have the very last say in any matters that there are arguments over. do not question our authority and you'll stay on our good sides. we're both very easy people to get along with until you make us angry. we don't suggest trying that.

this site is run on a three strike policy. that means that if you break rules or cause disturbances you will be given up to three warnings before you're banned. depending on the severity of your infractions you could be banned anywhere from a few days up to forever.

please keep in mind that this site is set in a small, secluded part of london. don't say anything about being in new york city or anything else absurd like that. try and follow the ways that people in england would act. if you need some help on that then we suggest trying wikipedia or some other helpful site like that.

no graphics on the board may exceed 450 pixels in width. that causes our board to stretch out and that just looks plain tacky. we also will not allow any juvenile or innapropriate graphics to be shown in signatures or elsehwere. this site must uphold a good appearance.


JOINING;

follow the given format exactly. we don't want to see any weird formats from other sites that are nothing like ours. anyone who does not use the form will automatically be put in the declined section where they cannot be moved from and they will have to start all over.

you are not to post anywhere in character before you are accepted. the only section of the site that may be posted in is the out of character category at the bottom of the page. you may also reserve pb's on the claims board, but that is it.

please do not bother us about checking your application. we do not need a private message from you telling us that you're finished. we check the board every day and your application will be evaluated in a timely fashion. anyone who is overly persistent will be moved to the declined section.

you are permitted to leave your application unfinished for a certain amount of time. that amount of time is two weeks. after an application has been sitting that long we get the impression that you have left the site for good and we will move your application to the declined section.

you must post your application in the pending section. if it is posted anywhere other than that exact sub-board it will be moved to the declined section automatically. it is just easier for us to have one set place for them to be checked at.

if your application is moved to the declined section and you decide to come back, you will still be able to look at that application, but you must make a brand new thread. we will not unlock threads and move them back to the pending section. that's just too much for us to do when you could copy and paste your whole application much quicker.


CHARACTERS;

you must choose a celebrity of some kind to be the face of your character. and absolutely none of those anime characters will be accepted. it must be someone who you are able to find and/or make icons and such for.

the same celebrity may not be used more than once. it just gets way too confusing. you may, however, have twins. in that case you must ask the person who originally had the celebrity and they must give you permission.

on boards such as biographies, cell phones, and e-mail you are only permitted to have one thread per character. please make sure that you keep them clean and organized. sloppy theads with bad coding will not be tolerated.

you are limited to have four characters total on the site. that does not include babies. if you have four characters and we see that you can keep them all very active we may let you create more, but that is solely up to the admins.

characters may become pregnant but you must run it through both staff members first. you will have to wait at least one real life month before your baby can be born and you may not speed age it after that. characters may not join pregnant at this time unless you pm both admins with a very good reason for it.

this is NOT scene city or emo land! i understand that there are scene kids in the world and you can make them, but this cannot get out of control. if you make one scene kid then your next needs to be of some other social clique.

the same rule applies for people wanting to make all female characters. we always need a good ratio of males to females, so if your first character is a girl then your next needs to be a guy. the same rule does not apply for anyone who makes a guy first. you can have multiple guys if you like.



ROLE PLAYING;

once again be reminded that this site is high intermediate to advanced. this means that all in-character posts must be at least 500 words in length. there is a word count at the bottom of the posting screen so please use it. you will be warned if we see you doing so excessively.

this site is rated r which means that sex, drugs, violence, etc. are all allowed. posts do not need to be marked so one should be warned that when reading any threads there might be material that younger children shouldn't see.

if you're not full of muse one day and can't make the word limit then do not post. just let the person you're role playing with know that you're having an off day and you will reply as soon as your muse comes back. and honestly, 500 words is not hard at all.

no power playing or god modding are allowed. if we see anyone trying to control the actions of others they will be given a warning and if it is done more than once, action will be taken against them. let people be in control of their own characters actions and you take care of yours.

to know that you have read the rules, please put, for the favorite cereal question, captain crunch. this is for your safety. we are just trying to make sure that no one is skipping out on the rules. then you may be breaking a rule and not know it. so we are happy you have read them!

spell check is there for a reason, use it! no one wants to reply to a thread with spelling errors everywhere. and if you honestly can't spell to save your life than you probably shouldn't be joining this site. the same thing goes for grammar. lynnlee is incredibly picky about that.
