Joshua Ren Hammond

Being what you would call the quiet one, reserved out of the group Joshua is basically someone who sticks to himself. His loves spreads for two, his photography, and Riku, and you probably won't catch him staring at anyone else other then him. Yet he tries to make it unnoticeable so that he keeps loving riku silent. He doesn't make friends all that well but is a fairly nice guy and is quite the thinker, that is if you can get him talking.

Riku Says,
I own Josh. Nah... Well, maybe a little since he has to listen to me no matter what so it's kinda like owning someone. Anyway. Going WAY back to like, a year ago, not that long I know but still... Feels longer. Where was I? oh right Joshie Hammond. He came into the cafe I own, looking for work and let me tell you it was pretty damn hard to not be like 'ohai! you got the job cause you're cute!' that's not how you run a business! I had him fill out an application just like everyone else, made him do an interview... Just because he was the most attractive person to apply didn't mean he could do anything. But what luck! A bit inexperienced but he turned out to be the best person for the position I was hiring for. So now the cafe has more than just edible treats. -Cough- There's something for everyone.

Not long after he started working at the cafe, he found himself out of a place to live and I, being the uhmazing boss that I am, offered him the spare bedroom in my townhouse which I share with my daughter. Of course, by now we had actually become friends so it wasn't like.. Super weird. But I digress. Joshie moved in and is like... 2 rooms down from me. At least we don't share a bathroom, I have a bad habit of not paying attention to what I'm doing sometimes. Imagine the horror he might stumble upon if I'm doing my morning thing and I forgot to lock to door or something and he were to happen in on my trying to tame my hair, getting out of the shower or what have you. Awful I tell you, just awful.

All that aside, I really do like him. And by like I mean like. Em keeps trying to get me to tell him but I never can and I'm always stuck in a tight spot if I finally get the nerve to just, tell him. So, needless to say... I carry a little thing for Joshie, all alone, with only my daughter to know of and tease me about. It's good Tilly likes him since she almost never likes anyone that I fancy and then tries to ruin their life when they're around me. She's killed a couple of decent relationships I've had. Thanks Tilly... Way to almost asphyxiate the last boyfriend on the couch with your fat.

Joshua Says,
Riku Hewett. He probably easily could get me to do anything for him i swear, plus he has the whole appeal to him really that anyone would do just about anything. And im sure he knows id do whatever he wanted as well. Thank god that he decides not to use that against me or i could become the slave of the house hold. Ive lately though been trying to get him to teach me how to cook, well properly anyways, not mac and cheese in the microwave or anything, but like actual healthy edible food. I think though he is a bit too protective of the kitchen. I don’t think he trusts me in his kitchen to do much other then get a bowl of cereal. Even then i basically have to grab hold of him so that he doesn’t do so for me. We need locks on the outside of the doors or something so that i can lock him in a rom and try my hsand at cooking. Yet then again i love riku’s food so i might just want to keep him around for that. Yet he;s probably smart enough to be able to get out of a room with it just being a small lock or something too. But ill eventually learn how to cook, i just need a kitchen to myself for that part of it all. Either way i owe Kuu quite a bit, i mean he got me a job, and even now has me a place to live. What more could he really do, not much i don’t think, i doubt anything more would surprise me really. Getting the job though was the first lucky thing on getting to know riku, i mean just getting an interview was nice. It was hard though to try and stay professional without flirting with him or anything, i mean with someone like him interviewing you its hard not to immediate go flirting with that person but I had needed the money so i waited to get the job before i started even thinking about him in any other way.

Kuu really is quite amazing, too amazing in fact. I mean when he has me basically following him wherever he wants me to go you know theres definitely something about him thats quite good. Im not someone that gets attached to anyone too easily but i swear if he was just to drop off the face of this earth i literally might cry. He’s like my best friend around here now and has done plenty for me that has gotten me close, plus Emmy, the girl he adopted is quite adorable too. It is a bit hard living together, i mean only being too rooms down and all, actually its more then just a bit hard its incredibly hard not to just wander right into his room and pretend my room no longer existed. And keeping my feelings secret was just as hard. I quite believe that im a pain in the neck to kuu, i mean i basically just ruined the wholke party of two with him and emmy by sauntering in so i do try and stay out of there way as much as possible, sort of hard when i cant help but be watching for him when he comes in the door each day and all too. It really is quite nice waking up to see him once i come downstairs. Or a note saying he had to go out or something. Either way it was much like having a family, not that ive had much of one for a while, still nice all the same. And not so lonely i must admit. Though how long i can keep my secret of liking him just that, a secret is another question which would be quite hard to answer. Im loosing sleep over this. Especially with knowing i could walk a few feet and have him in my arms just as easily. Not that i have the guts to do that sort of thing but still.

Im a bit uncomfortable with living with him but all the same each night i still try to kick his ass at video games, which i inevitably fail every time. I have yet to win a single game and lately have been forcing him to play games that doesn’t require us battling. But we still have a lot of fun and emmy seems to know that i like him due to her trying to push us closer and trying to convince me to say something. We can have quite the hushed arguments over this, her favourite time to bug me being when im brushing my teeth. Its silly bantering but it does make me wonder just what would happen if i did tell him of my feelings. Probably get kicked out to the curb or something, well i guess id get the experience of staying ont eh streets till i could find another apartment or something. Not that that was very reassuring or anything but it was erm...something slightly positive. Id much rather stay living with kuu though. He always is making me smile and you cant be in a bad mood, or else he will find a way to get you out of it. Ive noticed that Tilly seems to have taken a liking to me which is definitely good due to the attachment kuu has to tilly, i think its just because i prefer the floor over a couch spot. She gets the couch spot, i get the floor, weve gone over these rules already me and the cat. If i ever want the couch i might as well just sit right on kuu’s lap just to say im seated on the “couch”. Still very nice environment and Kuu really is going to have it one day where i get sick of the sleepless night and end up snogging him. Emmy would be happy anyways since she seems just thrilled that im even thinking about telling him. Sadly i confessed that to her one day. Ive reached an all time low, talking about relationship problems to a fifteen year old who ends up being the child of the one i like.
